Tumbled Glass

This is a feature I installed at a volunteer project for the Baha'i Center of Austin. It was a lot of fun to get the community involved and to bond over dirt.

We could not install a water feature in the front of the building, but limitations often produce creative results.

I bought this urn from Barton Springs Nursery because it is reminiscent of a tall waterfall.

The Sotol on top reminds me of a fountain of water, and the Moss Rose planted to trail down the sides is like the water spilling over.

Then, of course the blue glass set around the base using a cardboard edging to contain it is like the basin of water.

We planted New Gold Lantana in the star around the circle and it really pops when in full bloom.
