Most of my clients tell me they want to save money on their water bill and that their lawn space is excessive. I tend to agree. I like to convert lawns to aesthetic xeriscape areas and reserve only a small portion of the outdoor space to high maintenance lawns.

I am working on a landscape that had a huge expanse of lawn along the large swath of land along the side yard, planted atop a limestone shelf. We sod cut the St. Augustine and shared it with the neighbors, cut into the hill, exposed the limestone below, built walls and a new fence.

Phase one is complete, and in the Spring we will plant Native and adapted plants that will require minimal irrigation and maintenance.
