A community garden is starting up at the Bahai center and we wanted to invite anyone who is interested in having a plot to grow food/herbs/flowers this spring to come be a part!You can find our blog at newdaycommunitygarden.blogspot.com/ or check us out on facebook. Small plots (4 x 10) are available for $10 (6 months) and $20 (12 months); large plots (10 x 10) are available for $15 (6 months) or $30 (a year). We will have a children and youth garden and a food bank plot as well and eventually we will have fruit trees, an outdoor meeting pavillion and a stage! So it will be a great place for neighborhood childrens classes, junior youth groups and events. If you are interested, just write newdaycommunitygarden@gmail.com. We hope to dig-in the ground the last weekend in March so even if you don't want to have a plot, you can still come and meet other people in the neighborhood and lend a hand!
