Spring brings so many sweet scents to the air, and for some unfortunate Austinites, allergies. Enjoy the fruity aroma of the Texas Mountain Laurels blooming all over the place right now. Stop and smell the flowers, or better yet, take one home to smell again and again.
You can also take the seed pods right before the blooming takes place and you will find beautiful red seeds that can be used as beads for jewelry.
