We are doing a detoxification by juicing and eating raw food for the next couple of weeks and thought I would share about the process. I used to work for a clinic that housed patients during a whole detoxification program, so I'm implementing some of the principles and methodologies.
The major components to a detoxification of this kind are:
1. Juice as much as you can and the darker the green the better. Ingesting pure vegetable juice goes directly into the blood stream and boosts your body with vitamins.
2. Eat raw or sprouted foods. Consume only organic foods that contain no caffeine, no toxins, and are easily digested by the body. Sprouted and soaked seeds and beans begin the enzymatic process that make it easier for the body to digest. No gas and tummy aches and more nutrition.
3. Flush out your system by encouraging productive bowel movements. This may mean doing two enemas a day or getting a colonic. A milder way to do this is drinking epsom salt water.
4. Get the lymphatic system moving and exercise. Nothing major as your body is running hard trying to detox, but just a walk, bounce on rebounder, stretching. All good things.
5. Stay positive and focused and try it for a couple weeks, easing into the program and working your way back into a manageable but healthier diet.
Our bodies have an amazing capacity to heal, so trust that it knows how to repair all the damage we cause to ourselves and provide the key ingredients.
